Archibald - Such a lovely little sister

“One day, my parents told me I was going to have a little sister. It’s funny, I didn’t remember asking them for one.”

This is the confession Archibald makes in the introduction to the new book by Pauline Martin and Astrid Desbordes, who bring back the character from My Love in the role of a curious big brother, yet one who is skeptical about the arrival of a little sister he will now have to contend with.
As the pages turn, the little sister grows up, finding her place in games, in his heart, and also in the worries of a big brother who is sometimes jealous, often tender, and ultimately very proud of this new role. For, as Archibald tells us, “what I like best about my little sister is being her big brother.”
Astrid Desbordes surprises us once again with the subtlety and humor of her writing, remarkably supported by the illustrations of Pauline Martin.
